    Impact Barnet provides tailored support to meet the needs of the school and the students through both therapeutic group work, and 1:1 sessions. Our school based group work sessions which, take place in our youth van, is parked within school premises for the duration of the sessions. The Van can accommodate up to 6-8 students, sitting on benches in a group friendly setting, which makes it an ideal space for group sessions. These sessions are aimed at students that school feel would benefit from a short-term intervention programme. The group runs for six weeks, and all students are encouraged to attend all sessions, to enable them to receive maximum benefit from the group work. The van sessions focus on issues that affect young people in school and the community, and aim to explore those issues in a safe environment, focusing on the emotional well-being of the students. The range of issues that we cover is broad: emotional well-being for students exhibiting difficulties in forming positive friendships; emotional well-being for students with low self-esteem, are just two of the areas we address. Please find a list attached, showing the topics we can cover. Referrals to Van drama are made through liaising with school staff, and the focus of the sessions is tailored to the needs of the group.
